  1.          Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander Demonstration for OS/2 Warp

  3. Welcome to the demonstration version of the Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander for
  4. OS/2 Warp.
  5.  
  6. Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander (CAD Commander) takes control of the boot services
  7. of an OS/2 Warp system.  It prevents accidental rebooting of OS/2 from
  8. within any type of OS/2, DOS, or Windows session.  In addition, it also
  9. allows "rebooting" of the Workplace shell without stopping any running
  10. applications.  Finally, it gives complete command over all application's
  11. status (including their priorities), and allows selective shutdown of errant
  12. applications which cannot normally be shutdown via OS/2's Ctrl-ESC key
  13. sequence.

  25. ACTIVATING CTRL-ALT-DEL COMMANDER
  26.  
  27. Once you have installed the Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander for OS/2 Warp 
  28. and shut down and restarted your system (see the directions below) 
  29. you can activate it by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del (just as if you were 
  30. trying to reboot your computer).  Instead of the normal "Rebooting
  31. OS/2" message you will see the Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander's main screen.  You
  32. can get help by pressing F1, or use any of the menu commands to perform
  33. various activities.

  38. INSTALLING FROM APPLICATION SAMPLER CD-ROM

  40. To install this demonstration version place log to the Application Sample CD-ROM.
  41. Enter the directory containing the Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander Demo.  Then type
  42. "INSTALL".  You will be asked where you want to install the demonstration
  43. program. Choose any of the drives shown and press <ENTER>.  Then select the
  44. "Install" menu item to begin installation.  When it completes you
  45. will need to shutdown and restart your system to let the Ctrl-Alt-Del
  46. Commander begin working.

  51. INSTALLING FROM CTRL-ALT-DEL COMMANDER DEMO FLOPPY DISK

  53. To install this demonstration version place log to the floppy drive contain-
  54. ing the Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander Demo floppy.  Then type "INSTALL".
  55. You will be asked where you want to install the demonstration program
  56. Choose any of the drives shown and press <ENTER>.  Then select the
  57. "Install" menu item to begin installation.  When it completes you
  58. will need to shutdown and restart your system to let the Ctrl-Alt-Del
  59. Commander begin working.

  65. To install this demonstration version place unzip all of the files in the
  66. CC15DEMO.ZIP into a temporary directory.  Then enter that directory and
  67. type "INSTALL".  You will be asked where you want to install the
  68. demonstration program.  Choose any of the drives shown and press <ENTER>.

  70. completes you will need to shutdown and restart your system to let the
  71. Ctrl-Alt-Del Commander begin working.
